Beebalm- Lemon

Lemon Bee Balm (Monarda citriodora / Monarda fistulosa) – Not to be confused with Melissa officinalis (lemon balm). This native North American mint has a strong lemon‑oregano scent when crushed. Its purple bracts and leaves are traditionally dried for teas, tinctures, or topical poultices. In herbal history, infusions have been used as a calming, digestive beverage, while leaves were historically applied to minor skin irritations and bug bites. Steam from the leaves has been used for respiratory comfort. The plant contains naturally occurring volatile oils, including thymol, and offers a warm, lemon‑spice aroma when brewed.
